Data governance: the new blind spot for SME boards of directors?

September 15, 2026, Geneva – Limited places available!

The question is no longer whether the data concerns the board.

But what the board must now do with it.

Profitability, quality of management, operational efficiency, customer knowledge, investments, AI: Data is now at the heart of all these issues.

However, when we talk about "data governance," we still spontaneously think cyber, compliance or IT. And what if, for a board of directors, the real issue was much broader?

Having the right information to make decisions. Knowing what to challenge. What to expect from management. Identifying risks, but also the value the company could derive from its data.

To discuss this frankly and openly, APIA Swiss is bringing together four leading voices with perspectives rarely brought together around the same table :

Board chairmanship, general management, finance, industry, transformation, data expertise: very different experiences to shed light on questions that also arise very concretely in SMEs.

An interactive round table

No technical jargon. No series of presentations. A direct discussion between the panelists and with the audience, based on lived experiences, different practices and, we hope, some disagreements.

We are intentionally limiting the number of participants for this meeting, so that everyone can truly take part in the discussions.

Don't come here to "learn about data." Come see how it's already changing your role as an administrator!
